USERRA Compliance: An Interactive Hypothetical Scenario

This interactive presentation will walk through a hypothethical employer/employee relationship in which the employee, who is a member of the military, must take military leave and then seeks re-employment upon her return. The hypothethcial scenario will focus on an employer's rights and duties as they relate to USERRA issues, including military leave notice requirements, military leave rights, re-employment rights, and employment discrimination on the basis of military service.

Hailey Landrus – Hailey Landrus is a partner in the law firm of Stamper Rubens, P.S.  Hailey represents businesses in preventive counseling and all aspects of litigation.  Her Hailey Landruspractice includes representing employers in litigation involving claims of sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful discharge, retaliation, and wage and hour 

claims, as well as claims involving trade secret claims, claims for breach of the duty of loyalty, and interference with business relations.

Hailey is very active in the Spokane community as a volunteer coach for the Spokane Youth Sports Association.  She also serves as the President of Executive Women International of Spokane, a chapter of a global non-profit organization whose mission is to bring together key individuals from diverse businesses for the purpose of promoting member firms, enhancing personal and professional development, and encouraging community involvement.
