Doug Oord is a long-time resident of the Tri-Cities and a graduate of Central Washington University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Doug has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1988 and has over 25 years of accounting and tax experience. Prior to forming Nilson & Oord PLLC, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Vista Precision Solutions Inc, Vista Engineering Technologies LLC, Vista Research Inc, Vista Applied Technologies Group Inc and worked as the Payroll and Benefits Manager for Battelle PNNL. In addition to working with his clients on individual and business planning and tax savings strategies, Doug utilizes his experience and knowledge in ways that benefit local not-for-profit organizations in our community, such as helping with Alliance for the Advancement of Science through Astronomy and assisting local professional organizations such as the Columbia Basin Chapter of Society for Human Resource Management.
